Our Cross Country Training Facility is at
Brantridge Lane, Balcombe RH17 6JT.
The jumps are set in undulating fields and range from 50 cm. to 100 cm.
There are a variety of fences including shallow steps, ditches, a water with two different height entry or exit, a small woodland section and a mound.
The facility can be booked by club members and the public for individual or group work, weather and ground conditions permitting.
Club groups or Pony Clubs with their own recognised trainer can also book the facilities.
If you are interested in group training with your own trainer, please contact Susannah Givons: email@example.com or text 07754 076108 with the number of horses, the date and time you would like to come.
The facility will be open from 9:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. daily in the summer months. The closing time will be earlier in the winter, spring & autumn.
**All horses must have an up to date Equine Flu Vaccination**
The facility is now closed to the public until ground conditions improve.
**You must book in by texting Susannah before you come to the venue. There are electric gates and if we do not know you are coming there is no means for you to get in! We also have to have the disclaimer ready for you to sign and payment envelopes ready so that you can deposit them, with your payment, in the receptacle before you go out on the course. These are only put out if we know people are coming. Please respect this, otherwise you may come on a wasted journey and not be able to get in.**
Please do not book weeks in advance, since we never know what the weather or ground conditions will be like. Booking in the week you wish to come is ideal or you can even book on the day by texting Susannah on 07754 076108.
A maximum of 5 riders per hour will be able to book the facility, but you may spend as long as you like on the facility.
Cost: £20.00 per horse.
A full set of Show Jumps in a flattish grass area are also available to hire.
Cost: £10 per horse per 30 min.
CROSS COUNTRY & SHOW JUMPS
Special price: £25 per horse to use both, since people have been using both and only paying for one!
It is imperative that you book the facilities before you arrive at Bucklands Farm. You must also read and sign the Disclaimer. There are important rules in the ‘Disclaimer’ about your use of the course. Please place the signed disclaimer and your payment in the receptacle provided at the entrance to the trailer park, before you go out on the course. You will not be allowed on the facility if you have not signed the Disclaimer or paid for the facility.
If there is a problem with your booking, Susannah Givons will contact you before the day of your booking.
**When travelling with your lorry, box or trailer to Bucklands Farm, please enter Brantridge Lane from the Handcross end and not from the Staplefield end, since it is very narrow at the Staplefield end.**
