Cross Country & Show Jumping Schooling Facility
Brantridge Lane, Balcombe RH17 6JT.
The jumps are set in undulating fields and range from logs below 50 cm. to jumps up to 100 cm.
There are a variety of fences including shallow steps, ditches, a water with two different height entry or exit, a small woodland section and a mound.
The facility can be booked by club members and the public for individual or group work, weather and ground conditions permitting.
Club groups or Pony Clubs with their own recognised trainer can also book the facilities.
If you are interested in group training with your own trainer, please contact Susannah Givons: firstname.lastname@example.org or text 07754 076108.
The facility will be open from 9:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. daily in the summer months. The closing time will be earlier in the winter, spring & autumn.
**All horses must have an up to date Equine Flu Vaccination**
The facility is now open to members and the public. It will close for the winter from Saturday 24th October 2020.
**Due to Covid-19 restrictions, you must book and pay using the on-line form. Do not turn up at the facility without booking and paying first, since there are electric gates and if we do not know you are coming there is no means for you to get in! Please respect this, otherwise you may come on a wasted journey and not be able to get in.**
Please do not book weeks in advance, since we never know what the weather or ground conditions will be like or the government and British Riding Clubs Covid-19 restrictions.
Booking in the week you wish to come is ideal.
A maximum of 5 riders per hour, plus trainers, will be able to book the facility, but you may spend as long as you like on the facility.
Cost: £20.00 per horse.
From 1st October, the Show Jumping on Grass facility will no longer be available to hire, until next spring.
& SHOW JUMPS
The combined offer price is no longer available from 1st October.
It is imperative that you book and pay for the facilities before you arrive at Bucklands Farm. No refunds will be given if you cannot attend after booking, but you will be allowed to hold your payment over for a booking on another date. You must also read and agree to the Disclaimer and Covid-19 Protocol on the booking form. There are important rules in the ‘Disclaimer’ about your use of the course. You will not be allowed on the facility if you have not agreed to these documents and paid for the facility in advance.
The form allows you to book for up to 4 riders with a trainer if desired. This is the maximum number allowed as a group at any one time under the Government and British Riding Clubs Covid-19 regulations. Under these regulations, we also have to request all the details listed on the form for each rider and the trainer using this venue.
If there is a problem with your booking, Susannah Givons will contact you before the day of your booking.
**When travelling with your lorry, box or trailer to Bucklands Farm, please enter Brantridge Lane from the Handcross end and not from the Staplefield end, since it is very narrow at the Staplefield end.** The entrance to the schooling areas are through the green gate, which is the second entrance on the right to Bucklands Farm, where the Ardingly Riding Club banner is on the fence. This is also the entrance to Wings Museum.
